Gemma Malley studied philosophy at Reading University where she had a taste of fame as part of an indie band that toured Japan and France. She worked as a journalist and civil servant before turning to writing teenage fiction. Her previous novels, including The Declaration, were greeted by a tidal wave of enthusiasm and sparkling reviews. The Killables is her first novel to be published by Hodder & Stoughton. Gemma will be attending on Saturday only from 11-1pm. She will be taking part in a talk at 11.30 and her books will be available to purchase at the event. Gemma will be promoting the first book in a new trilogy, "The Killables" - Evil has been eradicated. The City has been established. And citizens may only enter after having the ‘evil’ part of their brain removed. They are labelled on The System according to how ‘good’ they are. If they show signs of the evil emerging, they are labelled a K, but no one knows quite what that means.
